Dr. Castagna is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Courage Lab at Yale. Prior to joining the lab, he received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University and completed his post-doctoral internship at Penn State Medical Center. Peter’s research generally focuses on using neuroimaging techniques (i.e., EEG, MRI, fMRI, DTI) to better understand emotion regulation and executive functioning throughout development. He also uses computational Bayesian modeling of cognitive tasks to disentangle mechanisms underlying complex behaviors such as inhibitory control, behavioral avoidance, and risk-aversion.
